Just bought Nightfall and soon to receive a used copy of GW
I just recently purchased Nightfall and am very fascinated by the gameplay, character options and no fee online play. A friend is giving me his copy of the Guild Wars original sometime this week since he has transferred to conosle gaming. Will I be able to load it on my PC and use it under my user account as mine. What options do I have?
Thank you for your support. |

If you have already installed NF on your comp, and your friend has already activated the keycode for Prophecies, no you will not be able to.
Used keycodes are nontransferable. You could get banned. |

Since you say it is used, you will not be able to combine the 2 accounts. If you were to purchase a new copy of Prophecies, you could add the key to your existing Nightfall account and your characters could traverse both worlds.
With a current Nightfall account and a current Prophecies account, the two accounts will be able to interact with each other but cannot be combined. There is also the pesky EULA that states used accounts cannot be transferred or borrowed, so be warned that the 2nd account would be in jeopardy if your friend decided to take it back or report it stolen. |

Certainly. You don't even need to use his disks for install as the game client can be downloaded from the GW website.
If you get a chapter 1 key simply open up Guild wars and click on the link on the login screen that says 'I have a new key'. Enter the key and you will activate prophesies on your NF account |

Correct. Prophecies content will automatically download if you add the key to your existing account.

Actualy with the way that NC-Soft and A-Net have it set up he will not even need the install discs. All the content for all of the chapters is automaticaly slipstreamed to all players even if they do not need it. The only content e might need to down load is that for maps that he hasn't visited r hasn't been to in a while.

You can also download everything in one big session, like run it over night.
Make a copy of your shortcut and then go into its properties and add -image to the end of the command string with "gw.exe" in it. Run that shortcut and it downloads all content without launching the client. Go watch a movie, play on the Wii, sleep, read a book, etc and let it do its thing. You can do that now, no need to wiat for adding another key. |
